Wahl Shaver Review

Welcome to Reviews Electric Shavers. Here we offer reviews and ratings of popular electric shavers and razors.

The Wahl shaver is an affordable alternative to many of the higher-end electric razors. The Wahl Bump-Free Shaver retails for $65 but can be found for under $50. This makes it cheaper than most of the Braun, Norelco, or Panasonic models. It is, however, an electric shaver that people either love or hate. Unfortunately, it is impossible to know which camp you fall in before you try it out.

The Wahl shaver uses the Dynaflex Cutting system, which they have patented, to give the user a bump-free shave when it is used on the face, head, and neck. The foils are gold and hypoallergenic. The trimmer pops up. One nice thing about this is that it is made in the US, which can be difficult to find in many products. It comes with a recharging transformer and a cleaning brush.

Now the important question is if it works. The majority of the customers (though not an overwhelming one) say yes. It currently has a little over fifty reviews on Amazon. This is broken down into 18 five stars, 11 four stars, 7 three stars, 7 two stars, and 8 one star. It is rare to see ratings break down in this pattern, though the personal nature of this product helps to account for this.

The Wahl shaver is not extremely loud, but it isn’t the most quiet model on the market. If a little noise bothers you, you would be better with a different brand. Look for one that advertises a quiet shave. The battery life of the Wahl Bump-Free Shaver is one of its best features. It is especially good for traveling.

To use this shaver most effectively, you will need to develop a routine. Using it straight from the box will likely cause it to eat your skin, or not give you as close of a shave as you desire. One person who loves the shaver recommends using the trimmer first, going over the face. This is then followed by a shave with the electric razor. It doesn’t shave so close that bumps form, but close enough that the skin is smooth for several hours. The trimmer isn’t good for trimming mustaches, though.

Many of the people who are happy with the Wahl shaver appear to have used the brand before, either a shaver or a hair trimming product. So if you have used Wahl in the past, you’ll probably like the shave this razor gives you. But if you can afford a higher end model, you should consider that instead.
